Coach and Athlete Mentors
Commonwealth Games Scotland (CGS) in partnership with sportscotland, is seeking to recruit outstanding personnel on a voluntary basis to join the CGS Achieve 2014 Team in preparation for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Achieve 2014 is a programme designed to enhance the winning opportunities of Scottish athletes and coaches on the World stage. The Achieve 2014 programme has been created to allow athletes and coaches to gain critical knowledge and experience of a multi-sport environment. This programme provides the opportunity to attend the Delhi 2010 Games in both mentor and participant roles.
We are keen to identify and appoint mentor candidates who are passionate about the Games and future sporting success and have knowledge to pass on. They will provide a mentoring support role to identified future Commonwealth Games athletes and coachws as part of a mentoring programme that will include an onsite learning experience during specified periods of the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games which can be transferred into preparations for the 2014 Commonwealth Games and other events.
For further information on the programme and how to apply, please see: www.cgcs.org.uk
The closing date is Thursday 8 April 2010 at 0900 hours and interview dates are scheduled for: Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 April 2010.
