Raphael Martinetti’s Cup

The Martinetti Cup tournament for male Juniors and Cadets held in Martigny, Switzerland on June 11th saw good results for the Scottish squad, coached by Assistant Coach Viorel Etko.

FS Junior
Gareth Jones competed in the 60kg category against 5 opponents. The competition was held under the Nordic system and Gareth finished 4th overall, winning his bout against USA.

FS Cadet
Brian Harper won silver, finishing 2nd of seven in the 46kg category.
Tony McKenna won a bronze medal against 10 competitors at 69kg.

The Scotland squad for Raphael Martinetti’s Cup, a tournament for male cadet and junior wrestlers is:
